Sadiona Abazaj

School Principal / Subject Teacher

With over fourteen years of experience teaching in international schools and lecturing at universities, Sadiona has graduated with three master's degrees and a bachelor's degree in Educational Leadership, English Language Teaching, and Intercultural Communication, all with excellent results. She is a qualified teacher and school principal in Finland. Sadiona is also the author of three publications in international journals and an active speaker and participant in various conferences and seminars in Europe. Her aim is to develop an aspirational school community that engages in all senses. Additionally, she has the skill to cope with new challenges and environments. She believes her major responsibility is to maintain continuous academic advancement in the future.

Timea Asztalos

Head of Didactics / Primary School Teacher

Tímea is a primary school teacher who graduated from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. Right after completing her studies, Tímea decided to move to Finland.

She brings experience in alternative Montessori pedagogy, having worked at an international Montessori Primary School in Budapest. Tímea integrates this approach into her teaching. Tímea is a caring and dedicated primary school teacher, passionate about nurturing young minds. She is committed to helping each student reach their full potential. With her innovative teaching methods, students can expect a welcoming and engaging learning experience that lays a strong foundation for their educational journey.

Edward Pode

Mathematics Expert / Secondary School Teacher

Edward graduated from King's College London with a postgraduate certificate in education and a master's degree in mathematics education. He has worked in the education sector since 2015, with experience in both UK and Finnish schools. He is familiar with assessments from UK, EU, and American systems. He conducted research into using technology to overcome disability at King's College and works to bring out the best in students, whatever issues they may face. He makes 3D art as a hobby and looks forward to introducing this novel art medium into the classroom.

Pinja Suojoki

Music Pedagogue / Primary School Teacher

Pinja is a distinguished music lecturer, violin teacher, and early childhood educator with a rich background in music education. With over 10 years of experience in managing educational units and nineteen years specializing in music improvisation, Pinja excels in teaching music across various age groups and levels.

Her expertise extends to planning activities and curricula based on Montessori pedagogy, showcasing her ability to create engaging and individualized learning experiences. Pinja is adept at conveying information in a profound and detailed manner, consistently striving for excellence and enriching her students' educational journey through her dedicated commitment.

Leyla Salichoglou Sar

English Educator / Secondary School Teacher

Leyla earned her degree in Primary Education with Design & Technology from Roehampton University in London and holds Qualified Teacher Status. With a strong background in teaching English, she has worked with students across a wide range of age groups and has successfully prepared learners for various international English language exams. Her experience also includes working as a programme coordinator, where she developed and led educational initiatives tailored to students’ diverse needs. Leyla is passionate about creating a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive, and encouraging — where every child feels empowered to grow and succeed. Driven by a belief in the power of education to inspire and uplift, Leyla aims to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in each of her students. She is dedicated to helping learners discover their strengths and reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

Mahime Watanabe

Substitute Teacher

Mahime graduated from the University of Wollongong in Australia with a degree in mathematics education. She brings a unique set of experiences from having worked in a wide range of educational contexts, including an International Baccalaureate (PYP) school, a Montessori school, a boarding school, a children's museum, and a travelling circus in Australia. She has co-authored an article on mathematics pedagogy, which was published in 2024. She enjoys collaborating with fellow teachers and students to enable the best possible educational experience.
